Privacy Policy for the wwmobile App for iOS and Android

Definitions

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:

  • Application refers to the wwmobile app for iOS and Android; published by wwcom ag;
  • Personal Data is any information that specifically identifies an individual (such as your name, user name, address or e-mail address), processed by wwcom ag for the purposes set forth in this privacy policy. Personal Data also includes any information about an individual that is directly linked to personally identifiable information and is processed by wwcom ag for the purposes set forth in this privacy policy. Personal information does not include “aggregate” information, which is data wwcom ag collects about the use of the Service (such as automated crash reports) or about a group or category of users, from which individual identities or other personal information has been removed. This privacy policy in no way restricts or limits our collection and use of aggregate information.
  • Device refers to any device that can access the Service, such as a cell phone, a tablet, or a computer.
  • User refers to a natural person who uses the application for private or professional purposes.

Privacy information access preface

wwcom ag takes privacy very seriously. For this reason, no data is collected that is not technically necessary for the operation of the app (user's access data to the telephone exchange) or for user convenience (call log, central address book, employee list). The only exceptions are when additional data is required for billing purposes, for analyzing a problem reported by the user, or when wwcom ag is legally obligated to do so. Should the privacy policy change, it will be published on this page.

Why is the data collected?

To ensure that the caller finds the same call history both in the app on the go and in the desktop application at the office, it must be stored centrally on the telephone system to which the app is connected. Therefore, information about outgoing and incoming calls is stored on the telephone exchange. Similarly, the call history is stored for a limited time to comply with legal requirements and for billing purposes.

Retention of Information

We maintain your personal information in our regular business records while you are a customer of our Service. We may also maintain this information for a period of time after you are no longer a customer if the information is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or to satisfy our legal requirements and/or obligations. These purposes typically include business, legal, or tax purposes. If there are no pending requests, orders, or court orders for access to this personal information, we may destroy the information once it becomes unnecessary to those purposes for which it was collected.

Specific App Access Requirements:

  • Contacts: Access to contacts is required so that addresses from the phone's address book can be found in the app's address book and for caller identification to work correctly. However, the app also functions without access to contacts. The contacts are used solely within the app and are neither synchronized with the telephone exchange nor shared with third parties.
  • Microphone: Access to the microphone is required to make phone calls.
  • Camera: Access to the camera is required to photograph the QR code (and in the future, to make video calls).

Security

The security of personal information is important to us. We take commercially reasonable measures and follow generally accepted standards to protect the information you provide us, both during transmission and once we receive it. For example, the information you provide is transmitted via encryption using technologies such as secure socket layer technology (SSL).

Disclosure to Third Parties

We do not share or sell your personal information to third parties except in the exceptional circumstances described below.

We only disclose information in the following cases: when required by law, for example, to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process; when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, ensure your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a governmental request; or in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all of our business.
